Start Line: Hickson Road Reserve, The Rocks
Start times: 7:00 am, 7:15 am, 7:30 am
Limited parking is available around Hickson Road Reserve, so we suggest either being dropped off or utilising public transport. The closest train station and light rail is Circular Quay with services arriving regularly after 6am.
If you are traveling a long distance from home, it is advised to select a later walk wave start time. You can visit the Transport NSW website for transport options.
Finish line: Tania Park, Balgowlah Heights
CoachHire is proudly supporting the Walk for Kids with Cancer by providing a free shuttle service for participants from Tania Park to Manly Oval. The shuttle leaves approximately every 30 minutes from 12pm to 4pm. This service is free of charge for all participants.
Alternative options to Manly Wharf:
- Bus: Bus 162 departs every hour from Curban St to Manly Wharf. The closest bus stop is an 8 min walk from Tania Park.
- Walk: Manly Wharf is a scenic 3.6km walk from Tania Park.
- Pick Up: Taxis, ride share and private vehicles are able to access Tania Park. Parking is available around the park and surrounding streets.
Middle Distance
Start line: Middle Head, Middle Head Road
Start times: 10:00 am, 10:15 am
Paid parking is available at Middle Head located here.
We suggest being dropped off or utilising public transport:
- Bus: Bus 100 departs from Wynyard Station regularly. Change at Military Road to bus 111 and disembark at Balmoral Naval Hospital. Allow travel time of approximately 30 minutes.
- Ferry: From Circular Quay take the ferry to Mosman Bay. From here take bus 111 and disembark at Balmoral Naval Hospital. Allow travel time of approximately 30 minutes.
*Please note, ferries begin running from 9am.
Finish line: Tania Park, Balgowlah Heights

Free transport for all Walk for Kids with Cancer participants
Travel on public transport is covered for Walk for Kids with Cancer participants on the following transport services. A transport pass will be sent to you prior to the event for you to show when boarding services.

Free transport for all Walk for Kids with Cancer participants
