We are walking for kids with cancer so they can survive and thrive
We are walking in memory and honour of Toby who was only 12 when he was diagnosed with a very rare form of Leukemia. He dived head on into grueling treatment for 20months always positive always believing he would survive. He approached treatment with a grace and humility beyond his years. He died on the 3rd of July 2020.
We are walking to raise funds so children like Toby don't die and so those that survive can thrive and not be left with serious ongoing health issues as legacy for treatment.
Sydney Childrens Hospital Cancer Unit is amazing and the care and support is incredible. Walk into a cancer ward full of babies, toddlers, primary school children and teens and you will know how important this is.
Treatment is evolving at a rapid pace and we want to raise funds for better outcomes and to kick childhood cancer to the curb.
He was We are walking for kids with cancer on Sunday 23 March 2025 for Sydney Children's Hospitals Foundation (SCHF). Funds raised from Walk for Kids with Cancer will go directly to the frontline of children’s healthcare across the Sydney Children’s Hospitals Network, including the Kids Cancer Centre at Randwick and the Cancer Centre for Children at Westmead.
Together we can help find answers to rare diseases like childhood cancer, faster ways to diagnose, support clinical trials, help build clinical and patient family-centered spaces in hospitals, and create positive patient experiences for kids and their families.
No child should ever go through cancer but those who do deserve our all.
